Today Jarod woke up to a surprise. The girls that live above us had a toilet clog and let it overflow until it came into our apartment and the other apartment in the basement. Jarod was able to get the water to stop flowing, but the damage had already been done. We lost over 900 dollars worth of posessions... some just with sentimental value, some with a price value. It didn't help that it was sewage water, makeing it all a little bit more gross to clean up... It took us all day to get everything out of our storage (where most of the damage was), clean it up, and put it all back. I worked today so I had to bring the kids home with me so I could help Jarod get it all done. We had a tenant who was nice enough to help out so the children were entertained and we could get everything done before we leave for Utah tomorrow. This was NOT the start of the weekend that I wanted. The water got to be a few inches deep in the deepest part of the flood. The second picture is the source of the water, and you can see it run down the side of the wall.
