The New Assistant Managers!

A month or so ago, Jarod and I applied for an Assistant Manager Position for girls housing right off campus. We figured that we weren't chosen when the month went by and we didn't even get an interview. Lately we have been trying to come up with ways to pay for everything so that I could go to school the next three semesters. We have applied for grants and I started looking for a job on campus that would work with my class schedule. My major officially got changed and I can graduate in three semesters with a bachelors IF we can pay for everything. With only 50 credits left, we don't want to apply for a loan if we don't have to. Well all the paperwork got put in, and a job on campus as an academic adviser was presented to me. Then out of nowhere the managers for the complex we applied for called and asked to set up an appointment with us. I made sure that I wasn't disqualified because I was a student. We set up an appointment and squeezed in an interview between Jarod's classes and training at his new job for Melaluca. We answered all of the questions fairly well and even had a truck which was something the managers don't have. They told us we would know by the end of the week.
Saturday came, and the minutes ticked by one by one. I couldn't stand it anymore and finally called my mom. She said that because I had another job being held for me, it wouldn't be unprofessional to call and ask if they had made a decision. So I called and....
HOORAY! Jarod and I are the new Assistant Managers for Danbury Manor. Rent is free with all utilities included as long as we work enough hours each month. I can go to school and finish as long as the grants come through, then we can continue managing until Jarod finishes school. Talk about a fantastic break for the two of us. Things are starting to fall into place. Here is a picture of where we will be staying. We get the basement in the house, and as soon as we move in, we will post a picture or two.
