Outrageously Overdone

My cousin Angelle and I always had this funny thing about the perfect date. The thing is that we were well aware that the guys we knew would never go to the extremes that we were willing to do. So we set out a plan to create that real romantic yet spontaneous date to win the hearts of our guys... though they had already been conquered with Angelle engaged and me with a new but firm relationship. This is how it started. We compiled two discs of our favorite fast songs and slow songs then went about planning dinner. We saw italian with pina coladas and all the trimmings. I even found some great candles to put on the table for dinner. Next was the entertainment. I used to work at a dinner theatre called Desert Star and our plans led us to the performance of Less Miserable (a spoof on you know what). At last we came to the definite ending of our perfect date... the dance that the music would be for. We scoped out the options and settled for a gazeebo at Murray Park. Last but not least, we asked our Aunt to take a few 'dance pictures' for us so it made it kinda official... yes, overdone... but at the end of it we had no regrets.

The men showed up in their suits and we got all dolled up in our dresses, make-up, and of course up-dos. They didn't have that great of an idea of what was planned for them and it was probably a good thing. We did dinner, pictures, show, then dance. And it will definately make one of the best memories of my dating experience. One of my dreams came true.
