When it Rains it Pours

When things go wrong... they really go wrong. We had the experience with the weird people for the console... then we had something else hit us. The weather has been really warm lately, you're thinking "that's good right?" and I would think the same... except we have so much snow that it has been melting like crazy and puddling next to the corner of our house. If you know much about houses built in 1915 you know this isn't good. The way that the foundation of the houses is created makes a seam in the corner of the houses under ground that is penetrable by water... as long as there is a lot of it. Well when it rains like crazy to puddle, or the melting snow runs down from the parking lot to your house and stays there for a day or so... there makes enough water pressure that it seeps into your house. Needless to say our bathroom got flooded slightly and thank goodness for shamwows. We were able to clean it up and then the following day I went outside and made a trough for the water to escape into. We have had a little bit of water creep into out bathroom but not much and I think that next year we will prepare before the first snow fall to put sand bags in that area... that is if we are still living in this apartment. What more can I say (and everyone can agree) than when it rains it pours... and bad things tend to come in clusters. Oh well, nothing too bad. There are those who are going through worse... like not having a new game station to play with...
